ADMISSION & WITHDRAWAL

ADMISSION CRITERIA

1. St Stephen’s School welcomes students seeking admission from classes Nursery to XII on the basis of merit and seats available.

2. Students MUST fulfil the following age requirement as on 31st of March of the year in which admission is being sought.

Nursery : Age between 3 and 3½ years.

L.K.G. : Age between 3½ and 4½ years.

U.K.G. : Age between 4½ and 5½ years.

Class 1 and above : Age 5½ years and above

3. Registration cum Entrance Test Form along with the Prospectus must be duly filled in and submitted with the following documents :

(a) Two recent passport size coloured photographs of the student.

(b) Birth Certificate (only for Nursery and L.K.G.)

(c) Original Transfer Certificate from previous school. In case of transfer from a school outside the state, the Transfer Certificate must also be duly countersigned by the respective Education Board.

(d) Aadhaar Card.

(e) Copy of the Progress Report of the previous school.

4. 75% attendance is compulsory for the students seeking admission in classes IX to XI.

5. Admissions are given on the basis of priority of registration and the result in the Admission Test / Interview.

6. Admission tests are held in the following subjects for various classes :

Nursery and L.K.G.    : No admission test. Interaction with the parent and the candidate.

U.K.G. to V : English, Hindi and Maths.

VI to IX : English, Hindi, Maths and Science.

For Classes IX and X (ICSE) :

No direct admission is offered to the students to class X from Education Boards other than the CISCE Board, New Delhi (Council affiliated School).

Students seeking admission to classes IX & X from other Council affiliated schools are to observe guidelines given by the school in accordance with the Council’s rules and regulations from time to time.

For Classes XI and XII (ISC) :

Candidates who have been awarded Pass Certificate in the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE X) examination with passes in five written subjects including English are eligible for admission to Class XI of the ISC (XII) course for entry to the Indian School Certificate (ISC XII) examination.

Admission to Class XI is also on the basis of the cut off percentage decided by the school after declaration of Class X results.

Candidates who have been awarded Class X Pass Certificate of other equivalent boards in India and abroad are also eligible for admission to Class XI of the ISC (XII) curriculum provided the following conditions are fulfilled : 

  • The candidate must have been awarded a Pass Certificate in accordance with the requirements of the board at an equivalent examination taken at one and the same sitting.
  • The candidate coming from Foreign Boards / Schools must be issued an equivalent certificate by the Association of Indian Universities.
  • The candidate must have obtained pass marks in accordance  with the Regulations of the Board in (a) English and   (b) four other written subjects accepted by the Council.

Admission to Class XI in respect of candidates from Examination Boards other than the Council is provisional and subject to approval from the Council.

Students from other Examination Boards / Council affiliated schools other than St Stephen’s School have to appear and clear the entrance test depending on subject stream opted for.

At St Stephen’s, we follow a student centred programme. Our aim is to provide enriching experiences to each student by planning curricular as well as co-curricular activities at various levels of learning. This ensures an all round development of students. Our curriculum hones and harnesses the latent talent present in each student thereby helping him/her blossom into a unique and complete individual. The environment at School is stress free. 

The ICSE Board has entirely revised the curriculum to be implemented from 2018-2019. The new Curriculum incorporates all elements of academic interests that cater to the challenging requirements of present day educational needs.

WITHDRAWAL

  1. Every application for a school leaving certificate shall be made in writing by the parents on the prescribed form.
  2. A school leaving certificate will not be issued until all the fees are paid.
  3. A transfer certificate will be issued three days after the receipt of the application.
  4. The issue of T.C. implies that all dues to the school are completely cleared.
