GENERAL RULES

SCIENCE LABORATORY RULES

Never enter a laboratory unless permission has been given by your teacher.

Do not run and push in the laboratory.

Do not bring bags and unwanted items into the laboratory.

⭐Always handle laboratory equipments with great care. Do not play with reagents and other chemicals; they can be dangerous.

⭐Any damage to laboratory equipment, whether accidental or on purpose will incur a penalty equivalent to the damage caused.

⭐ No laboratory equipment can be taken out of the laboratory without the knowledge and permission of the teacher concerned. 

⭐ Always keep your work area and the rest of the laboratory tidy and clean.

⭐  Eating and drinking in the laboratory is forbidden.

⭐  Wash your hands after using chemicals or biological materials and return cleaned equipment to the correct place.

⭐  Inform your teacher immediately about any accident.

SAFETY RULES

⭐ When heating or mixing substances, never look inside the flask, test tube or beaker. Do not point these experiments at anyone.

⭐ Do not open cupboards or examine specimens or experiments left in the laboratory unless permission has been given by your teacher.

⭐ Girls with long hair should make sure that their hair is tied back. 

⭐  Be careful while using the burner or any other inflammable material.

⭐  Do not play the fool with equipment or chemicals. It can be dangerous to you and to other students around you.

⭐  Always follow the instructions of the teacher in-charge of the class.

RECOMMENDATION FOR PARENTS

All students must attend the re-opening of school on the appointed day.

⭐  If a student continues to be absent from class without any leave application for more than 10 working days, his/her name is liable to be struck off the register.

⭐  No student is allowed to leave the school premises during school hours without the knowledge and permission of the Principal/Teacher-in-charge.

⭐  Parents are advised not to ask for leave in the middle of class hours. Either a child is present for the full meeting or absent for the day. There is no provision for half-day attendance. This sort of leave can only be granted in extreme emergencies. 

⭐  Scribbling on the walls, desks, boards, etc. is strictly forbidden. Any damage to the school property will have to be made good by the parent/guardian of the defaulting child.

⭐  Co-operation is expected from the parent in seeing that their children complete the home- assignments and conform to the general regulations of the school.

⭐  Parents are not allowed to enter the classrooms. All dealing with teachers during school hours must be done through the Principal’s/Administrator’s office.

RULES

   The Diary must be brought to School daily.

  Every pupil is required to attend college-curricular & co-curricular-activities, in the prescribed uniform. All information regarding the uniform may be had from office.

   Punctuality must be strictly observed. Pupil must be present in the school premises ten minutes before the commencement of school hours. i.e., the morning assembly. Late comers will be marked absent, even if they may be allowed to attend classes. Habitual late comers will be taken to task. Strict regularity & punctuality, obedience, courtesy in word & deed, cleanliness in dress & person & proper care of books & School property are expected from every pupil.

   No pupil may be absent from classes/School functions except for serious reasons. Parents/guardians should fill in the ‘Leave of Absence Record’ when their son/ward comes back to school & also send a signed leave application.

   If for some serious reasons a pupil cannot attend school for more than 3 days consecutively, the Principal should be informed in writing & a medical certificate in case of illness should be submitted.

  No literature of any kind which is not directly connected with the school curriculum should be brought to college.

  Pupils are not permitted to leave the School premises during school hours without the written permission of the Principal.

  Parents/guardians or visitors are not allowed to interview pupils or teachers during school hours without the written permission of the Principal. Hence, Parents/guardians are advised to meet teachers only by prior appointed & the written permission of the Principal.

  Only English should be spoken within the school premises. In going from one classroom to another for special subjects, all shall move in an orderly manner.

 Pupils themselves are responsible for their own books, pens, cycles, Tiffin carriers or any other articles they may bring to school.

  It is the duty of the pupils to see that the School premises are kept clean & tidy.

 Pupils are expected to take care of the School property. Any damage caused to the school property must be made good either individually or collectively.

  No pupils should remain in the class room during the recess.

  Keeping or use of cell phones in the school campus is strictly prohibited.

  Every pupil must take part in at least some of the co-curricular activities unless exempted by the Principal.

  Collection for any purpose requires the Principal’s sanction.

  Pupils are answerable to the School authorities for their conduct both in & outside the school premises.

  A pupil may be sent home during School hours for violating any of the School rules. The School authorities also reserve the right of suspending/dismissing any pupil whose conduct, in their opinion, is not satisfactory.

  A progress Report will be issued after the semestral & the annual assessments. 

  Pupils absent from any assessment will be considered to have failed in that assessment. No absentee will be re-examined.

  Class X and XII students who do not appear for, or fail in, the Pre-Board Examination may not be permitted to appear for the Council examination.

 All the students should put in as attendance of at least 75% to 80% of the working days. Any pupil falling short of the required attendance will not be granted promotion to the next class or allowed to appear for the Council examination.

  Parents & guardians should take keen interest in the progress of their children & co-operate with the school in the development. It is much appreciated when parents respond readily to the invitation sent to attend the Parent Teacher Meeting & other School events. It is only with co-operation of the parents that the school can promote the all round developments of the school.

  Application for transfer certificates shall be made to the Principal by the parents/guardians of the pupil on the prescribed form.

  All students are encouraged to make good use of the School library & the Reading Room.

  A student who loses  or damages a book will be fined.

 Fees must be paid in advance in cash regularly.

        N.B.:

  Any changes in these rules or addition to it will be notified from time to time through circular letters, or announced in the Assembly.

⭐  None of these rules either in part or as a whole will be challenged in any court of law.

Examination and Assessment

The academic session has been divided into two terms.

First term – April to September

Second term – October to March

The Students will be assessed on the basis of their class room performance and exams to ensure that the process of assessment is continuous, smooth and competent on each term.
