THE SCHOOL EMBLEM

St Stephen's School EMBLEM

The School Emblem was created in the year 2006 at the very outset of the establishment of the School.

The Kalash is referred to as “overflowing full vase” in the Vedas. It is believed to contain amrita, the elixir of life, and thus is viewed as a symbol of abundance, wisdom, and immortality.

The divine water of Kalash is the provider of life to one and all, and also has the capabilities of creating unlimited names and forms, the inert objects and the sentient beings and all that is auspicious in the cosmos from the energy behind the universe. The Kalash’s leaves and coconut represent creation.

The four religious symbols testify to the fact that we pay equal respect to all the religions of the world including four major religions of India — Hinduism, Islam, Sikhism and Christianity.

The Mottos of our School are Tamso Ma Jyotirgamaya (From Darkness, Lead Me To Light) and Semper Sursum (Always Aim High).
